Instructions for using the SENT system

What is SENT?

SENT, or the Electronic Transport Supervision System, is an advanced system for monitoring the transport of goods in Poland. Its main purpose is to control the transport of so-called sensitive goods, which include heating fuels, biodiesel, lubricating oils and denatured alcohol. The system aims to counteract tax fraud and tighten the VAT system in the country. You can find the list of goods covered by SENT in our search engine.

The most important functions of the SENT system

Transport monitoring: SENT enables ongoing supervision of the transport of goods, which allows tax authorities to react immediately in the event of irregularities.

Reporting goods: Entities responsible for transport must report transported sensitive goods to the system, which increases the transparency of trade in these products.

Data availability: SENT system is available on the PUESC platform (Tax and Customs Electronic Services Platform), which makes it easier for entrepreneurs and tax authorities to access the necessary information

From 1 January 2025, carriers from the EU, the Swiss Confederation or EFTA must report transport if it is to be carried out to or from a country outside the EU, based on a permit resulting from an international agreement. This obligation does not apply to carriers from Poland.

We have prepared a shortened instruction for using SENT system to report International Road Transport (RMPD).

The introduction of the SENT system is of great importance for combating the grey zone and tax fraud. Thanks to effective monitoring of transport, tax authorities can better control the trade in sensitive goods, which contributes to increased budget revenues and improved competitiveness of legal enterprises.
